Emma Coleman retrained in 2002 at Reading College of Art and Design, attaining a BTEC Higher National Diploma in Photography and Digital Imaging. She then set up Blink Photography providing wedding, portraiture and commercial photography to clients. She has achieved Licentureship from the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers and the British Institute of Professional Photographers. She has also received 5 Merits in the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers Awards.
From this business Emma developed as a Fine Art photography photographer. She exhibited at Rugby Art Gallery for the first time in 2005. Since then she has shown her work at the Landmark Art Fair Teddington in 2006 and 2008.
As a keen gardener Emma loves to combine her passion for flowers and photography and aspires to give a 'painterly' feel to her images. This is taken a step further in her piece 'Orange Poppies Abstract' where the same shot is taken as "Orange Poppies", but the use of a slow shutter speed and panning of the camera gives a motion blur effect and results in a very abstract image, that is more about colour than form.
