In my work I am drawn towards locations within the environment that are not defined by place or setting, but by how they exist, the space they create and how they are perceived.
These are often locations that appear forgotten, ignored, those in disrepair, or those that are such a part of the every day that the subtle significant traces that they hold become lost.
I strive to create work with the qualities of immersion, to draw someone in and reveal to them the unnoticed.
Experiments, and occasionally accidents, form an important part of my working process, with the bringing together of various processes and materials, along with layering and repetition, acting as the crux for this.
I am currently the manager of a gallery based at Heathrow Terminal 5 that was started up 2 years ago. As well as dealing with sales and communicating with artists, I co-curate and work on exhibition installation.
